Back Issues

Individual back issues of Helictite are available for purchase in limited quantites.

Refer to the Back Issues Order Form for details on availability, prices and ordering arrangements. The form is subject to variation at any time without notice. The payment methods and conditions are given on the form. Handling, Packing and Postage are included in the price. Deliveries outside of Australia are sent via air mail.

The price includes packing and postage within Australia. There may be a waiting period for delivery until sufficient orders have been received. Originals will be supplied until stocks are exhausted. Thereafter reprints wil be included, in most cases these include the original letterpress plates. Contact the Back Issues Librarian for details.


Article Reprints

High quality reprints of individual papers and articles are available from all issues of Helictite. Up to 25 pages of reprints may be purchased in one order. It can be more economical to purchase the entire back issue to obtain a reprint of papers which are over about 7 to 10 pages long.

Reprints are sent unfolded in a C4 size (325 mm by 230 mm) envelope, which is marked "Do Not Bend". Deliveries outside of Australia are sent via air mail.

Various indexes are provided to assist in finding articles and page number references.

The reprints are printed on high quality A4 size paper, using a black and white single-sided laser printer, from 300 DPI / 256 gray scale scans of original Helictite issues.

  • Wee Jasper Caves (James, Martin & Welch).
    We have located a limited stock of this essential guide which includes comprehensive maps and cave descriptions, 45pp. $15.00.
     
  • The Caves of Thailand (John Dunkley).
    Following a recent bulk order from the USA, there are only 15 or so copies left. 2000 cave descriptions & locations, 53 photos, 124pp. Includes free 12pp update. $15.00.
     
  • The Management of Soluble Rock Landscapes: An Australian Perspective (Kevin Kiernan).
    61 pp. This book is the only text on cave and karst management in Australia, this book is part of the required reading for the Karst Management course at Chartes Sturt University. 61pp. $15.00.
     
  • Australian Karst Index 1985 (ed. Peter Matthews).
    Only 3 reprints are available of parts of this mammoth volume listing details of all known caves in Australia, over 6,600. $44.00 (non-members of ASF $49.00). + post (from ACT varies from $5.50 to $9.00). Also available reprints of the NSW listing, 92pp inc. references, over 2,000 caves. $15.00.
     
  • Karst of the Central West Catchment, NSW: Resources, Impacts and Management Strategies (Dunkley & Dykes, 2000).
    All original copies were distributed to landowners and managers, but we have a strictly limited reprints. 103pp, 24 photos. Availabte with photos either in black & white (inc. postage) for $25.00, or in colour (only 2 left) (inc. postage) for $39.00.
